Fine Art Print
This work on paper contains the highest concentration of goldenrod pigment of the entire series. It is also the most representational. The composition was created by first covering the paper in a generous wash of goldenrod pigment. After the initial wash dried, subsequent washes with traditional paints and pigments were placed, keeping the memory of the namesake in mind. Finally pencil, pastel, and watercolor was used to enhance details of the underpainting until an image of the goldenrod plant appeared.
Please note that botanical pigments can fade over time. The foundational (background) washes of the original piece may change color over time. This fine art print alternative to the original assures that your art will remain colorfast.
This piece is part of the series “Of September.” In the colder days, when things are a bit more difficult, the memory of September keeps us going when we need it most. All original works in the series include some hand-made pigment from goldenrod plants which were harvested at the height of their bloom. The paintings in this series serve as a reminder of nature's most bountiful and generous season.
Please consider measurements carefully before purchase and take the time to view colors on different monitors, as colors may appear different on different devices. I have done my best to represent all artworks accurately. There is an additional handling time of 10-14 days for all prints, as they are made especially for you. All fine art prints are signed, stamped, and titled individually by the artist.
Please note that your purchase does not include a frame. Mounted canvas arrives ready to hang with picture wire, while all other options will look best with a frame for display. If you are unsure about framing, I have created a guide for you here.
