earth pigment, oil on canvas

This painting was created as part of the "Mud Season" Collection. Inspired by walks in the woods and the hardest parts of the journey, this collection helps me to remember that difficult roads lead to beautiful views.

This piece takes its name from a beautiful and subtle forest treasure commonly called Pixie Cup Lichen. It combines earth pigment throughout, but especially in the warm greens and grays of its palette. The composition of this painting communicates the vitality and power of that can be found in the most delicate parts of the heart.

Please consider measurements carefully before purchase and take the time to view colors on different monitors, as colors may appear different on different devices. I have done my best to represent all artworks accurately. This piece is painted on gallery wrapped canvas with painted edges, so it is ready to hang and doesn't need to live in a frame.
